Absentee Bidding

Clarke Auction Gallery prides itself on the fair treatment of absentee bidders. To ensure a pleasant and rewarding experience, please read the following instructions:

By placing an Absentee Bid you authorize the Auctioneer to bid on your behalf. He will purchase at the lowest possible price up to your maximum bid. This service is available without charge. You must provide your name, address (with zip code), and phone number, along with Lot Numbers, Description, and Maximum Bid. All Sales are final. We try to contact successful bidders the day after the sale. However, you may call us at (914) 833-8336 on the afternoon following the auction, or e-mail C&C Auction Gallery, to find out if you were successful and to arrange for prompt payment.

When placing an absentee bid, we recommend that you contact us by telephone. We can then provide more information about the Lot in question, answering any questions concerning condition, etc., to give you a better basis for bidding.

In the event of equivalent absentee bids, preference will be given to the first received . We accept cash, checks (but no pick up until they have cleared).
